Thank you for your interest in the Campaign for 200.
UrbanPromise Wilmington (UPW) has been awarded a three year grant from the Jessie Ball duPont Foundation to fund an expansion of our successful StreetLeader job training program. Learn more about the StreetLeader program here.
UPW has a unique proven core competency in transformative practices for urban youth. For example, 90% of our StreetLeader seniors will attend college compared to less than 20% of their peers in their neighborhoods.
With the funds from Jessie Ball duPont, UPW will increase the number of StreetLeaders we employ by 50% as well as add a mentoring supervisor and other support staff to manage this growth. The grant funding is contingent on UrbanPromise raising new support in matching dollars from the business community.
We are asking 200 businesses to participate in the Campaign for 200 with a gift of $200. Your gift will be matched and directly support education, leadership development, job creation, and transformation in Wilmington’s high-risk neighborhoods.
