Late morning, Ms. Harvey took her class on an outdoor adventure. With their expert nature guide Than (also Camp Harmony Director) along to lead the trail, the students learned many things!
“We saw a bee hive!”
“He told us that some trees lose their leaves, and some have them all of the time.”
“Did you know, some trees grow from acorns?”
“In the creek, we saw tree roots, tadpoles, and little fish.”
“We learned about the wild toilet!”
The last one struck me as odd and I asked some more questions. The pictures helped to understand there was a porta potty on the path. While they couldn’t quite pronounce the word ‘deciduous,’ they did recognize when I said it. Just some of the things you can learn on an adventure with Than!
