Fundraising Goal: $50,000
Nothing I encounter matches the hope I see in the teens we hire into our StreetLeader® job training program. I’m paddling for them! I see 55 urban teens absolutely pumped to work in their first job, mentor other kids, and be in a hyper positive peer group. I see the path forward for our city and all its dark problems. They’ll be better students, better citizens, better parents and better people. So will the 550 kids they will be counselors to and the hundreds of volunteers they will meet and share with.
Paddling won’t matter a lick without your help! We need your gift to reach our goal. It’s not for us, it’s for those 55 teens. If you give $100 or $1,000 or whatever you give, don’t remotely think of it as money, it’s not. It’s hope, it’s opportunity for a life to be changed, it’s knowing that you have chosen life over just living. Our goal is $30,000 of the total $60,000 we will pay teens this summer. Let’s blast that goal out of the water and make a statement about life!
