This summer UrbanPromise will host 9 summer work groups totaling 180 people. These groups will come from Maine, Missouri, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware and choose to spend a week of their summer living and serving in the city of Wilmington.
Through this week groups will be provided pathways to engage their faith, serve others and experience diversity while learning about urban issues. One of the themes for the week is Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does He require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
These work teams work alongside the 20 summer interns and UrbanPromise staff to complete physical tasks, develop relationships with children and teens, experience transformation and build community.
For opportunities to partner with these groups see the needs on the summer camp page or contact lori@urbanpromise.org.
