Ask any UrbanPromise graduate who has been a StreetLeader or who attended camp as a kid what their favorite UP memory is, and the answer will invariably start with “the time we took that trip to ____.”
We do a LOT of trips at UrbanPromise. Whether it’s a school field trip to Coverdale Farm, a StreetLeader college tour, a Trekkers hiking excursion, or a spring break trip to Arkansas, we invest in trips because of the powerful impact they have on the kids we serve. When kids broaden their understanding of the world outside of Wilmington, they’re inspired to dream big. Just as importantly, trips are a great time of building relationships and strengthening bonds between staff and kids.
So, this Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise $11,000 towards trips – that’s $1,000 for each of our eleven programs (6 camps, StreetLeaders, Trekkers, Sports, Urban Promise School and Academy). Please click on the Donate button and help us go far!
