How do you encourage children to study? How do you make spelling and other subjects cool? After School Programs create a number of competitions each year in order to both stress the importance as well as the excitement around different subjects. The Spelling Bee is the great kick off for the year. For six weeks, the kids in all grades (1st-8th) have studied lists of words for their grades) and rocked it
out! We are really grateful for Jen Smith, her family, and Glasgow Reformed Presbyterian Church for providing the snack and help in each of the class rooms were the kids competed. We had a huge number of kids from all
the camps, and after a long week, we could not have done it without them. The next competition will be a Bible Drill on Dec. 6th! Lets see what these kids can do!
