Three flights and a 6 hour car ride later, our group finally arrived in Winnipeg, Canada late Saturday night. We got a good night’s rest and woke up Sunday morning to a bright and sunny -25F day. In the words of the local weatherman, it was “crisp” outside.
We attended my home church that morning, sharing briefly in both services and even joining the choir for a song.
Afterwards, we started our hunt for suitable weather gear to keep everybody warm. Thanks to donations from a few families we were ready to face the elements. Our first activity: tobogganing at a nearby hill. We all had a blast careening down the hills, flying off the sleds, and bumping over the moguls.
Today’s activities: Snowboarding and the St. Boniface Museum. Photos and stories to come!
Thanks for posting, Larissa! Sounds like you guys are having a super time!!! Can’t wait to hear more and see more pics! What a cool trip!
