Goal: $3,000
On July 1st, I’ll be joining a group of 70 volunteers as we paddle 25 miles down the Delaware River from Camden, NJ to Wilmington, DE. Yes, you read that correctly; 25 MILES! Why am I doing this you might ask? I’m paddling with UrbanPromise as they pledge to employ 55 teenage StreetLeaders to help teach and train 450 children during the summer months.
These StreetLeaders are young adults who are committed to supporting, teaching, and helping our kids during the summer months.
My goal is to raise at least $3,000 towards employing 3 StreetLeaders for the summer. While I don’t have to paddle the entire way, I am committed to paddling at least 10 miles, or 1 mile for every $300 I raise.
