Dance Team
Our dance team, the Flames, seeks to provide a welcoming atmosphere for students to engage in various dance styles.
Athletics
At UrbanPromise Academy, we recognize that sports are a powerful tool to help students learn life skills such as teamwork, dedication, perseverance, and communication skills. Sports provide a community in which to hone their skills as athletes. We offer flag football, basketball, and track.
Job Opportunities
UrbanPromise Academy is committed to training up the next generation of leaders. One way we are able to do this is partnering with the StreetLeader Job Program, which is a part of the larger UrbanPromise organization. The StreetLeader Job Program is the largest year-round employer of teens in Wilmington. Students ages 14-18 are given the opportunity to work in our after school elementary or middle school camps as well as our summer camp program. UrbanTrekkers
The mission of UrbanTrekkers is to be an outdoor and experiential learning and mentoring program – the world becomes our classroom. Leadership training and team building are incorporated into all events. Trips are designed around five key elements:
