Urban Promise Academy is a private high school focusing on the needs of young people who are not reaching their academic potential in traditional education settings.

Started in March of 2010, the Academy offers Wilmington teens, many of whom are functioning a year or more below grade level, a unique individualized and experiential education with high standards.

The Urban Promise Academy features:

• An emphasis on expeditionary learning and community service.
